About Us
The "Centre of Excellence (CoE) for High Tech and Digital Skills in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa" is a state-of-the-art training facility established at the Institute of Management Sciences (IMSciences), Peshawar, in collaboration with the British Council and the European Union. The CoE is designed to provide women across KP with access to quality technical and vocational education, empowering them with globally recognized skills in emerging digital and high-tech fields.
TVET Sector Support Programme — Output IV
The European Union (EU) has been supporting Pakistan's TVET sector through the TVET Sector Support Programme (TVET SSP) since 2011. After successfully completing three phases, the fourth phase of the programme (EU TVET-IV) has commenced, implemented by the British Council and GIZ. The British Council is leading Component 4, which focuses on the following two outputs:
- Output 4.1 Digital and high-tech CBT courses are developed and implemented for training women, including those from refugee communities and returnees.
- Output 4.2 Two internationally accredited Centres of Excellence (CoEs) for digital skills and high-tech training for women are established, offering career-focused programmes in Robotics, AI, IoT, Data Science/Analytics, etc.

IMSciences — Role as the Hub
The Institute of Management Sciences (IMSciences), Peshawar, operates as the main hub of the CoE, providing comprehensive support for women's skills development across the province. IMSciences brings together its world-class facilities, academic expertise, and partnerships to ensure that the CoE serves as a beacon of excellence.
IMSciences plays a pivotal role in:
- •Hosting the main CoE with advanced training facilities
- •Coordinating with spoke centers across KP to deliver decentralized training
- •Offering internationally recognized certifications in partnership with global institutions
Spokes — Role as Partner Institutes
In the Hub and Spoke model, Spokes are partner institutes responsible for delivering approved courses at the local level, enrolling and supporting students, and implementing curriculum and quality standards. They ensure effective training delivery, maintain facilities, collect and report data, and provide feedback from the ground.

Courses
The Centre of Excellence offers fully funded Competency-Based Training and Assessment (CBT&A) courses designed to equip learners with practical, in-demand skills. Each programme includes hands-on training, industry-aligned course content, and on-the-job learning to ensure graduates are prepared for real workplace environments. These market-oriented courses open pathways to employment, entrepreneurship, and advanced digital and high-tech careers.
